How to join the Funeral Ethics Organization

Continuing Ed Courses for Funeral Directors

  • How to make your GPL FTC-compliant and consumer friendly
If you're using a generic form from someone else, are you sure it's fully compliant? Believe it or not, many association ones or those from industry providers are not. What options might you add that aren't required but consumers would appreciate? One credit for submitting your GPL. Two credits if you modify your GPL and re-submit it for additional review.
(1-3 credits, by mail; state endorsements to be announced)

  • Who is making the funeral arrangements and why you should care?
Do you take orders from the person paying the bill? What about the live-in girlfriend and the nearly-ex-wife? What if all children don't agree with cremation? How do you handle gay and lesbian partners? Knowing the laws in your state can rescue you from a lawsuit. What about do-it-yourself-funeral families?
(3 credits; state endorsements and schedule to be announced)

  • Working with Hospice without a conflict of interest
(3 credits; state endorsements and schedule to be announced)

Bad things can happen when good people do nothing.
